13 FOREIGN INVESTMENT
Зарубежные инвестиции
Вложения частных лиц, компаний, финансовых учреждений и государства в ценные бумаги и реальные активы за границей (также outward investment). Капиталовложения в иностранные ценные бумаги (портфельные инвестиции (см. Portfolio)) осуществляются в целях распределения риска и получения более высоких доходов по сравнению с теми доходами, которые можно получить внутри страны. Прямые зарубежные инвестиции (см. Foreign direct investment) приобрели особое значение с расширением деятельности транснациональных компаний. Усилия ТНК по организации наиболее эффективного производства и сбыта своей продукции еще более усложнили внешнеторговую и инвестиционную модель мира. ТНК, например, интернализирует свое производство (см. Internalization) - значительная часть международных операций является фактически внутрифирменными операциями между подразделениями самой ТНК. В некоторых случаях экспорт ТНК заменяется созданием производственных мощностей в странах, где есть спрос на ее продукцию. Построенные предприятия в свою очередь используются в качестве экспортной базы для поставок продукции на рынки соседних стран. Для страны-получателя иностранные инвестиции( inward foreign investment), с одной стороны, служат источником финансирования технологических разработок и исследований, что способствует созданию новых рабочих мест, освоению новых профессий, приобретению опыта и квалификации, а также навыков управления производством. С другой стороны, в этих странах высказываются опасения по поводу возможной потери национального суверенитета, поскольку иностранным компаниям все чаще удается завоевывать ведущие позиции в ключевых национальных отраслях.
